I just found out that June is Cataract Awareness Month. Did you know for example, that cataracts are the leading cause of vision loss in the United States and the leading cause of blindness in the world?
I am having Cataract surgery, one eye this month and the other one next month. This past week, I had to go have my eyes measured, so that the correct IOL (Intraocular Lens) can be ordered.
I ended up having to return 2 days later, because my left eye was too dry and they couldn’t get any measurement off it. I’d been using artificial tears, but it turned out that store brand was the worst possible that I could use! So the correct (no preservative) drops were written down for me, and we stopped to get them on the way home. This time, it worked, so I’m good to go!
As always, I would just love it if you would join me in all of “My Journeys Through Life.” Just go to the subscription box at the top of the blog and enter your email information. After that, you will always know when there is something new happening. I hope to see you here very soon! -)
