Five Minute Friday

The FMF word prompt for this week is:

cancel

And, starting my five minute timer . . . now!

We cancel subscriptions. We cancel appointments. But now, our society is deeply into a “cancel culture.” You differ from the politically correct part of society? Cancel! You refuse to come out in favor of what they want? cancel! Restaurants who won’t post and put up signs standing for certain causes? Red flags on YELP calling it a racist business. CANCEL! Stand for conservtive values? CANCEL! This is where we are today, folks. And it’s going to get worse with the election results, as the Democrat side is already postiong and writing columns stating there will be no reconciliation with Republican voters. Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!

And, stop.

This post is linked up to Five Minute Friday. Go check out the other posts for this week!

  1. Yes, I know you’ve had enough
of me, and you are through,
but my quick reply is “Tough!”,
and I will pray for you.
You think that my church loves to hate
’cause it and you do not agree,
but it can teach, better late
    than maybe never, some humility
    for we its faithful congregants,
    well, we are sinners, too,
and it’s every day that we repent
    for the things we do,
and thus, we’re brothers, and we’ll dare
to hold you up, yet, in our prayer.

Yes, I too fear there’s going to be a bumpy ride. I’ll fasten my seatbelt. I continually remind myself that God is in control – not the politicians, president, or governor. He knows, sees, and cares for us much, much more than people.
    Blessings,

  3. I agree, these are interesting times we live in. Hoping the ‘bumpy’ ride will calm down at some point! Visiting from FMF #22
