Teach Your Kids at Home with SchoolhouseTeachers.com {Review}

(Disclaimer: I received a FREE copy of this product through the HOMESCHOOL REVIEW CREW in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way.)

I have have been using SchoolhouseTeachers.com for a number of years, and I can tell you that if you want to teach your children at home, the Ultimate PreK-12 Annual Membership is where you want to be! Do you want to put together the curriculum for your children based upon their interests, abilities and needs? SchoolhouseTeachers.com is the place to find everything you could ever want for doing this!

As Julie Andrews sang in the Sound of Beginning, “Let’s start at the very beginning, a very good place to start . . .” Clicking on the start here button will take you straight to the information shown below.

Looking at the menu bar after checking out the information above, you’ll find School Boxes, set up just as if you had purchased a curriculum set by grade. This is perfgect for the beginning homeschool parent, of for parents who simply prefer to have their school year already set up for them to follow.

Are you comfortable picking and choosing based upon the interests of your children, their abilities, where they are grade-wise in different areas? As you can see above on the menu bar, you can pick and choose by grade level and by subject. That’s what I like to do! Far to the right of the menu is the one I like the best, All Courses, where you will find a complete list of every course available at SchoolhouseTeachers.com. Here is just a partial example of what you will see there . . .

This page will show EVERY course available to you, with direct links to the lessons, information and more.

One course I wanted to check out for my children was Music Appreciation.

I grew up learning the appreciation of all kinds of music as a result of my Dad’s very eclectic record collection, and the fact that he was in the Flint (MI) Concert Band, as well as having been a member of the Marine Corps Band. I want my boys to appreciate music, too!

Another well loved course around here is Drive Through History: American History! Here, “The Batman” is watching episode one, which he has really been enjoying.

One of the boys, “The Artist” really enjoys all things Art, so we have chosen to check out some of the great Art options.

He is going to be working on the course Drawing in Pen and Ink.

I also found myself checking out the Electives section. Here is just a small sample of available electives!
