Last week, The Batman and I put up 25 meals in the deep freezer. We began with me putting together the Menu Plan using the database of really great recipes at https://myfreezeasy.com/. I absolutely love using Myfreezeasy! I am able to provide much more varied menus for my family, instead of doing the same old things week after week. So here is the Menu Plan:
We got two meals out of each recipe except for the Taquitos. I ended up buying burrito size tortillas, so we made burritos. We got four meals of those! We also ended up with enough extra boneless, skinless chicken breasts left to bag up in freezer bags for three more meals, so we ended up with a total of 25 meals in the freezer!
All of the meals that are in pans went into the deep freezer out in the garage, and all the meals in freezer bags thankfully went into the fridge freezer in the kitchen. Why thankfully you may ask? well, because something happened after we got to enjoy the following meals . . .

Our deep freezer died over night. I sent The Batman out to get something out of it, only to find everything thawed and warm It all had to be disposed of. I called our Pastor to see if we could bag it up and put it in our church’s dumpster, and of course he said yes. Our church ( https://www.mesabaptist.org/ ) is less than two minutes away. So, that’s what we did. I was so sad, after all that work we did, and the money for the meal ingredients. Fortunately as I said, even though all the pan meals ( and everything else in the deep freezer ) had to go, we had put the baged meals in the kitchen freezer, so we do have those. But still . . . Oh well, this too shall pass!
In the meanwhile, please do go to https://myfreezeasy.com/ where you will find tons of information on freezer meal planning and preparing, AND if you scroll down to the bottom of to page, youll find a free try it meal plan. This is honestly the best money I’ve ever spent! Try it, I don’t think you’ll regret it!
