What’s cooking at Our House!

Since, it’s been a bit since I wrote about our freezer menu plans, so I thought we’d do that today! Tuesday, “The Artist” & “The Puzzler” helped a LOT! We chose seven recipes this time, because we just couldn’t cut it down to five as we liked the sound of all these meals!

meals 6.13.19

We did our shopping on Monday, then worked on 5 of the recipes Thursday. We had to do the 2 burger recipes yesterday because an ingredient which was to be kept in the refridgerator got put in the pantry and I had to go shopping to repace it, so we ran out of time.

Here are just 3 of the meals, getting prepped to go in the freezer! We have:

Crispy Chedder Chicken Bake

meals 1 6.13.19

Grilled Pork Chops, Peaches & Red Onions

meals 3 6.13.19

And Bacon Wrapped Chicken

meals 2 6.13.19

Unfortunately, the pictures I took of the other meals being prepped didn’t come out, but boy, do they look good!

Here are the finished meals (14 of them!), ready for the freezer!

You can do this too, it’s so easy! We use My Freeze Easy, a wonderful website where you can use their pre-set menus each month, swap out recipes, or even create your own menu. This is my affiliate link. At the top of the page,  there is a click to try a free menu.

This is bar none, the best money I’ve ever spent for our food budget!

Another Set of Meals In The Freezer!

Today, we got a bunch of new meals in the freezer! “The Artist” has gone from being my helper, to pretty much doing it all, except for the shopping. Usually I do that with one of the other boys. So this time, these are the meals we made, 2 of each:

My New Instant Pot!

I received a much wanted Instant Pot for Christmas!

IMG_20190127_132430

We’ve been having fun putting up meals from My Freeze Easy, where in addition to all of the regular categories there’s now a whole category for the Instant Pot! This time around, we (The Artist and I) put only Instant Pot meals in our menu plan, so as to get used to using this brand new appliance. We’ve now served all five of the recipes we put up, and still have one of each in our freezer.

First up, in 8 minutes we did Meatballs and Marinara sauce.

Here they are, at the end of 8 minutes . . .

And, plated!

Next, we did New Brunswick Stew, which took about a half hour.

Then, we did Chicken Cordon Bleu, cooking time about 20 minutes.

Next up was French Onion Pork Chops, which were cooked in about 20 minutes.

IMG_20190208_184740

Finally, Mushroom Beef Pot roast, which took 55 minutes!

This is such a great appliance! And it’s nothing like my mother’s pressure cooker, which I was always terrified of. Plus, it has other functions we haven’t even explored yet, like slowcooker, cake maker, rice cooker, steamer, food warmer, yogurt maker, sauté pan, and sterilizer. I will never use the yogurt maker. 🙂

All in all, I’m very happy with this appliance, and very glad I’ve been asking for one!

More Freezer Meals!

This post may have affiliate links. You won’t spend more by using my link, and it will allow me to afford the product involved.

You all know that our family has been making meals for the freezer for over a year now. I wanted to share the most recent set we’ve done using MyFreezeasy.

IMG_20180924_153811

Each recipe you see named above gives us 2 meals for the freezer, and we actually ended up with enough to make four of the Lazy Lasagna Bake. We used one of those for a church potluck on Sunday. 🙂

My main working partner during this process is usually “The Artist,” and one or another of his brothers goes with me to do all of the pre-prep shopping.

Here, “The Artist” and I are putting it all together . . .

And here, the bounty of our efforts!

  • Lazy lasagna Bake – 4
  • Chicken Fajita Bake – 2
  • Bacon Wrapped Chicken – 2
  • Sloppy Dogs (topping) – 2
  • Slow Cooker Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Plus, I now also have in the freezer a gallon freezer bag with the extra chicken in BBQ sauce! Not bad for just a couple of hours in the kitchen!

Meal Prep Help From “The Artist!”

“The Artist” wanted to do all of the freezer prep this time around, so after we went and bought everything, I let him! This is what went into the freezer this time:

Watch, as he is making sauces and filling containers!

Here is “The Artist” shredding Swiss Cheese by hand . . .

When finished, we had this!

In the Slow Cooker, we have the Pork Medallions with Dijon Sauce. Since the next day was Sunday, one meal was put up for the freezer and one in the slow cooker for dinner after church.

Here are some of the meals as we’ve been having them:

Cream Cheese Pork Chops

New Freezer Meals!

You all know how much our family has been enjoying my membership to MyFreezEasy, right? Well, my son “The Artist” and I just yesterday finished another session of freezer meal prep, and boy, does our menu look so good for the next couple of weeks! This is what we prepared:

IMG_20180220_182159

This makes two meals of each recipe, and in actuality, there was enough of the Bacon meatloaf to prepare three loaves for the freezer!

Here is “The Artist,” mixing up some of the meatloaf . . .

IMG_20180220_165737

Here is one of the completed recipes, a Keto recipe called Bacon Meatloaf. This is the very first time we have used Almond flour!

IMG_20180220_162105

Here, we have 13 meals for the freezer, two each of Ritzy Meatloaf, Slow Cooker Cheesy Salsa Chicken, Slow Cooker Chicken Gyros, and Slow Cooker Shredded Mojo Pork. There are three bacon meatloaves, and since there was enough extra boneless chicken breast, we set that up in two freezer meals with BBQ sauce.

Here is the bounty of a couple of hours worked!
